associate parameters between 2 projects (hosted to host)

Hello,

I have a "child project" (roof), which will be inserted in to the host main building project.

This "child" roof project will be applied in the main host project for 3-5 times (by floors), so there is a key parameter to define the different shape of the roof.

So after the roof project inserted into the host project, how to associate this key parameters

Thanks

Perhaps using Design Options (DO) to describe these different roof configurations would be "better"? I don't know if you're taking this approach because you want to use the file like a roof family with types you can choose from? If these roofs are three possible solutions then DO would probably be "simpler".

I'd consider a family approach instead of linked models:

In-place families assigned to Roof category can use parameters and constraints just like a component family.

Component families (generic model category)

I don't have time to test right now but I am not sure you can "connect" the parameters between elements in the nested linked model to "choices" you'd like to make in the hosting mode.
