Trying to assign a keyboard shortcut to the Save As command. When I search for the Save As command in the Keyboard Shortcuts menu I do not find it.  Any Ideas?

How often do you do a "Save As" that you need a keyboard shortcut or are you trying to get around your file tab being slow? If the latter, then that should be the issue to be addressing.

A keyboard shortcut is for a single command and there is no Save As command.  It is a selection of different commands for you to choose from so you have to do it from the file menu.

What you can do OOTB: Alt + F then A.

Or you can learn Revit API to create custom command.

It's for the Family Editor, not for projects.  And yes choosing the "File tab" is too slow.  I build a lot of content and am often going to Save As to compact the families.  The File tab gets full of recent files and is slow to pop up.  Is there a way I can limit how many recent files it saves?

Toan DN - I don't follow you.  File>Save and File>Save As are 2 distinctly different commands.   You can customize this command shortcut in AutoCAD.

Is your Revit up to date? This is an old issue that has been addressed.

Do you know how to clear the recent files lists? That speeds up the file tab. I think what slows it down is when files on that list are deleted or moved from their saved location.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
