assigning a material to an extrusion

Hey Guys... been busy offsite, but back to learning again....

Is there a way to apply a material texture to an extrusion?

I know when I build a wall, I can specify the finish materials, or, I can paint that wall afterwards just for the graphics (stone for instance).

I have some 24" column extrusions that I would like to have appearing as stone.. but I havent figured it out yet.  Could use some pointers...

Also, how can I find additional "paint"textures...???  I could really use a handsplit shake pattern

Edit the in place model and assign the material to the extrusion inside the editing environment. If you want to control the material without edit the family in the future, assign a material parameter to the extrusion in the editing environment.
