Hey gang,
I need help with this one. I have a project that the lighting is in a separate lighting model, linked into my model. When I try to render any scene, either through Cloud Rendering or just rendering it locally, my lights are not "on" so everything is very, very dark. I did some digging and thought "Okay, maybe I need to turn the lights on." That would be great, but my rendering lighting settings are greyed out and it won't let me turn them on. Help?
How do I get this to let me turn the lights on?
Main File say A, and linked file B..
Check the light settings in the " LINKED " B, revit file where Lights are placed...
try to render there in "B" linked file to check..
Once that works come back to File B, and render again..
You cannot control Light settings from A file to linked B file..
thats why there are no lights available in the settings..
Cheers!
@tim8GAK9: For Revit links, you cannot override the materials in the host project unless you physically update the linked file material. The linked file material definitions and assignments will determine the material appearance in the host project.
If you need to transfer Revit materials between projects use Manage > Transfer Project Standards > Materials.
Copy-monitor the light fixtures from the link to your model so that you can control them.
