Hi all, I'm interested in seeing if anyone here has an alternative workaround to producing an array with the option to set the 'count' to 1.
Currently I have an array in the family that's a nested item - the minimum count is 2 (as expected). I then have another copy of that same nested element overlapping the first arrayed element, this is then set on a visibility parameter (hope this makes sense). I then have a formula where if the user inputs 1 into the count, the arrayed elements will hide, and the single element appears instead.
My current problem is that we don't want the overlapping/duplication warning coming up, so seeking other alternatives to how we can get this to work.
Thanks!

Nope, that's how you do it for now. Hopefully Autodesk essentially codes this workaround into Revit so we don't have to do it, but I'm guessing its low on their list.
You can nest the family in a curtain panel family, load it in the project and create curtain walls to array. Then you can have way more flexibility with the arrays.
Several ways to avoid the warning - example: Create 2 types of the nested component, one for Single Unit and another Arrayed/Multiple Units...when they overlap they are considered 2 different elements and you wont get the warning (See GIF below)
