Array command missing Options Bar?

Anonymous
Not applicable

A book I am reading explains how to use the Array command.

It says that when selected, and Options Bar will appear.

In my Revit 2016 no Options Bar appears.

Why is this?

Thank you for your help.

Are you selecting the object in which you wish to use in the array prior to initiating the array command?

It sounds like you are initiating the command first, which is fine but you need to select the object(s) before the array options will appear. Also, it is always helpful to read the command prompt message at the bottom of your screen during modify procedures.

Yes. I also tried selecting an object first. Still no Options Bar.
