array along path

Hello!

How can I array an element along path?

I understood that I need to create a spline and divide it in parts, and I managed to do that.

But I don't know what is the next step.

(I am working in Revit 2015.)

Thank you!

Array along the path is not possible in Revit.

You can only do linear and radial arrays in Revit.

I made some families in this area, which should be what you want, and the parameters are more complicated.

You can check this forum post with similar issue:

This is solution using Dynamo:

This tutorial shows how to attach family to adaptive point to be able to place it or rotate into any direction in Revit:

Is there a work around?

Something with tools I mentioned in the first post?

Or with railing tool?

There is no native tool in Revit that will do that.

If the category does not bother you, yes, you can put your family into baluster family and set that baluster in railing family type.
