Areabook - Calculate Gross SF of a building

I'm trying my hands at the areabook/buildingbook/roombook pluging for the first time and am having issues getting the proper GSF calculated.

When I select my 1st floor slab I am showing 7,454sf but when I run the areabook calculation I am getting 342000sf. I have read the help file a few times but it is not exactly clear to me how to run this. Any input or links to videos is appreciated.

All roombook calculations ate fine. The areabook are not.

I'm Judy, a Revit specialist, and I'll be happy to help you out.  I see you're getting different results when you use the areabook and roombook calculations, and specifically the areabook calculation seems to be wrong. Must be very frustrating to get such different answers. If you can send me a Screencast video of the steps you are taking it will help me understand what you are doing so I can troubleshoot.
