Area value different when exporting from Revit to Navisworks

Hi

I was checking some parameters on Revit and then on Navisworks.

Im having a problem with one of my families. In Revit it shows that my family has 1.39m² , but when i open the same project on Navisworks the area value is 0.696m², exactly half of the area value in Revit. What could be the problem here?

Obs: I tried exporting those two ways: "Navisworks Export" tool in Revit, and opening the .rvt file in Navisworks

Attached: Image 1: Sheet generate in Revit ; Image 2: Properties in Navisworks ; Object family

Both softwares are 2019

You are looking at two different values.

In Revit you are looking at the material area. This is the sum of the all the areas with the material (all 6 sides in this case)

If you look at the area in Revit (not material area) then you will notice it wil be the same as area in Navisworks

In this case it is in both case a single side of the column.

Oh, i see. Do you mind explaining where did you get that Area parameter from?

I could only find the Material: Area parameter.

Thanks for your help

So you created an Area parameter by using "Linear" and "Largura" parameters in a formula?

What i dont get it is, seems like Navisworks is considering only 3 sides of my object. Let me show you using your numbers "Linear" and "Largura" = 1, and Height = 2. From that we have 2 m² for each face on sides, and 1 m² to the top and bottom face, totalizing 10 m². Then, when i open this project in Navisworks, i have, in the Area parameter, equals to 5 m² as showed in the print attached.

Sorry if i dont get the idea yet
