I'm currently working on making an area schedule that keeps track of the percentage of work area.
Currently our team uses a legend that we manual type in all the information, and do the calculation ourselves, but I'm currently working on our template trying to streamline things as much as possible.
I basically want to have a percentage total of Work Area/Total Square Footage in order to do this I have a formula based parameter that calculates this, but the problem I'm having is I want there to be a total percentage with the grand totals. In this case being 211/542 =39% is there a better way to set up this schedule in order to do this?

Hmmm... that's weird. It works for me. You could try selecting the URL, copy to clipboard, and paste it into your web browser. Or do a Google search for "use calculated totals in formula Revit".

I found the article not sure why the link kept taking me to a "non-existent blog post page" I worked through workaround 2, and I think I can get this to work for what I need.
