Hi everyone,
I started a project with default revit archi project template, added some structural connections later, they are showing fine in revit, but when I exported the drawing to cad, the connections are missing in the dwg. The visibility for structural connections are turned on for sure.
I am suspecting it is because of the default archi template settings, so I re-did a small part of the project in a Structural template and everything is showing in the exported CAD dwg this time.
Is there a way to modify the project started with archi template to make the structural connections show up in the exported CAD file?
Thanks a lot for any help.

Open projects with the Arch and Str templates at the same time.
Manage>>Transfer Project Settings
Select the Only New option when prompted. That would bring in structural settings that are missing in the architectural template.
Create a Structural Plan in the model created with the architectural template
View>>Plan Views>>Structural Plan
Just got the time to try it out and your method solved my problem. Thanks a lot Rina. ![]()
Hello,
I found your comments on this issue and I am still having problems not seeing the connections.
I have change to fine display, checked all my view setting, but still cannot view the connections. The weird thing thou is that I created a shear connection and in the arch template I see the holes only?
Basically I am new to the structural connections app, I downloaded / installed it to see how it works. All I have done is created a column & beam in arch template. I make the same simple object in structural template and it worked easily.
Suggestions appreciated...
Thanks in advance
