Hi, I have many of such arched windows which are on curved walls. I was wondering if there is any way to create it as a curtain wall so mullions and such can be placed easily since many of the arches are of different sizes. Thanks for the help in advance!
Thanks for the reply! However, my main issue is that I am unsure of how to create the arched shape since the entire facade is curved and that I have many different opening sizes (I have used massing voids to cut the wall for now).
I tried using curtain walls without creating the arches, they dont seem to be badly segmented. (refer to attached picture)
is there a way to cut off the curtain wall that coincides with the wall?
I can place wall sweeps on a curved wall without any problem.
However, if you are okay with segmented curtain walls then go for it. You can use an in place void to cut the curtain wall then add grids. The mullions along the top curve will be segmented and create gap between them and the curved opening. I would use an in place sweep, or a curved structural framing for the top mullion instead.
Here is a combination of curved basic wall for glass, in place sweep for border framing, vertical sweeps for mullions.
