The firm I work for, has an issue process which has the person who issued a document, the person who checked it, and finally the person who Approved it.
There are pre-populated fields for Issued To, and Issued By, but Approver, has through lack of other options been the Author, set under Project Information.
If the Author changes though, we either change it for every issue in the past as well, or we have to leave it as it is, and instead have workarounds like apply a bit of text over the wrong name.
This doesn't seem right (for all that Revit has plenty of problems like this!), is there a better way to deal with this?

One there (linetypes with text?) with over 900 votes, in (at the very least), it's 7th year of being voted on, the Autodesk response being, shall we say, underwhelming?
