Hello,
I am creating a stacked CMU variant of the OTB running CMU. First i duplicated the OTB wall type to create the new type - CMU Stacked. Then, I duplicated the CMU material to create CMU Stacked. Finally, I duplicated the asset, as I understand to be the correct process. I modified the hatch to a stacked pattern then applied, and applied the new material to the new type. Then check my wall types and, of course, all CMU now show as stacked.
Not sure why the asset count here is now listed as (2) when I expected it to say 0, as it was duplicated and modified. How do I sort this out?

I had to undo the changes and restart the modification, something went wrong.
So step 1 - duplicate wall type to create Stacked type.
Step 2 - duplicate the material, to create Stacked CMU material. Now both materials use the asset "Plain - Medium Gray"
Now - do I duplicate the asset? That's what I tried last time, but it didn't seem to actually branch the materials.
Looks "branched" to me. It says "(2)".
You should see a "Plain - Medium Gray (2)" in your Asset Browser.

Step 3 - Edit the new Stacked CMU material: Appearance tab > duplicate Asset + modify, or replace Asset with a different one from the Asset library. Graphics tab: change surface pattern to a stacked pattern
Step 4 - Assign the new Stacked CMU material to the stacked CMU wall type layer(s).

But all CMU wall appearances in the project change to the Stacked type. I only wish to modify one wall to be stacked, leaving everything else as running.
I thought the (2) meant that it was "used in 2 other locations" ? that's what I took away from the tutorial I watched.
Okay, back to my original comment which I deleted. It sounds like it was right.
Stacked Wall Types are 2 separate Wall Types - each with their own Material. Have you edited the Wall Assembly and changed the Material yet?
