I have a project containing multiple apartment types across two buildings. Each apartment type is set up as a separate project file, which after editing is loaded back into the main file using 'Load as group into open project' to replace the group.
After upgrading to Revit 2017.2.1, there seems to be an error during this process. Instead of replacing the group contents, all of its contents are dropped out and an updated version of the group is pasted on top. In other words, it duplicates every apartment group, keeping one set in an ungrouped format and one in a group.
Has anyone else experienced something similar? I know groups are still unstable in Revit, but I've tried every workaround i can think of to no avail.
I would think that linking the separate files would be a more stable route to take.
Linking files would be an ideal solution, however on a project of this scale (around 200 units) the performance implications of using links makes this solution unfeasible.
