anyway to set cut depth of wall opening?

Hello I want to cut into a wall where the brick is set back for a door threshold(like below). Is there a way you can specify the depth of a wall cut?. I know i could create a new wall type for this section but seems it would be easier to have cut depth option, maybe i will post to ideas section..

To answer the question, you can use void(s) instead of Opening Cut in the family to control the depth of the cut.

But looking at the image, shouldn't the wainscot be modeled as a wall sweep?  That would eliminate the need for the resolution above.

So you want to do something similar to this?

I having issue attaching the file, but basically I replaced the Opening Cut with 2 parametric Void Cuts.  My wall is a Stacked Wall with an in-build sweep to make the tapered brick portion of the wall.  Void 1 to cut through the Stacked Wall and Void 2 (unattached in family) cuts the threshold (via using the Cut tool).  "Cuts With Void when Loaded" is checked in Family. Walls are set to Wraps at Inserts.

Here is an example with just one Basic Wall with Wall Sweeps , one Opening using Opening Cut, no Voids.

Yes mine if a basic wall with a sweep see below to create a plinth wall(as we call it), i wanted to remove the section below the door, Brads idea using a parametric void seems to make the most sense to me.

Thanks Guys
