We have setup custom Tags for the different disciplines without our office (based on customised Annotation Symbols) in a Revit 2018 project template, but there doesn't appear to be copy those new Tag styles to other file, short of going through the whole process (i.e. load annotation family, create new viewtypes, create new styles for each view type, duplicate the head/tail/callout style for each, edit the head/tail/callout style to reference the appropriate loaded family) ?
Transfer project settings doesn't seem to work (it copies view types but not the styles or tags), and copy-and-paste isn't allowed for views.
Hi @krzystoff
Try creating a View Template and transferring your View Templates using Transfer Project Standards.
Unfortunately, Transfer Project Standards does not work between a template file and a project file.
Create a drafting view and called it CALLOUT. Next have the section, elevation and callout to reference to the Drafting view CALLOUT. Copy the drafting view to new project and you do the same to section, elevation and callout over.
Thank you Thank you Thank you ToanDN!!!!!!!
I'm an architect working at an engineering firm where the BIM management group has deleted some things out of our template like the interior elevation symbol. We're not allowed to add things to our template, so we have to add them back in project by project. It is a nightmare.
So glad to have a relatively straightforward way to do this.
Thank you.
