another wall panelling question...

thanks to some kind people on here i have figured out wall panelling systems to some extent. I now want to place the door (which i know you go into properties and change individual panels to a door. My problem is the panels don't perfectly align with the panel locations,I have many runs of wall panelling with lots of different door locations .What is the best way to get round this?

"panels don't perfectly align with the panel location"

What does that mean?

If you meant to say the partitions do not align with the joint of the the corridor panel then it's a design issue.  You either adjust the corridor panel sizes, or the partition location.  If neither can be done then so be it.  You pick the door location for each room where it is logical for user operation and/or code requirements.

No I meant meant when I draw the walls with the paneling system it automatically places them in increments of 1000mm ( each panel is 1000mm) but what do I do if I want the door at 500mm increment? I would need a 500mm panel but it automatically places in them in their standard width. You can't place doors in anywhere like you do with standard doors. You are a slave to panel positions how do I get round this...??

Edit the curtain wall family and specify the layout and spacing for Vertical Grid. You can also TAB select a grid and adjust its location manually.
