So the Revit 2019.2 Update doesn't seem to work. My Revit build number remains 19.1.0.112 after applying the update. Any idea when we should see a working update?

@gbiallas

Can you please try a complete reboot and check if this resolves the issue?

Hi @gbiallas

Please see the response from @Tony_Michniewicz on this thread and let me know if this helps!

I'll check if the team has more input on this issue.

Thanks!

@gbiallas

Can you confirm if you've downloaded from manage.autodesk.com?

Yes, I did because the update was not showing up in the Autodesk Desktop App on all of my work stations.

I have downloaded and installed Revit 2019.2. It works perfectly fine.

The only thing that seams not to function is SITE DESIGNER tool. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have rebooted couple time with no luck.

Can anyone provide more information to solve this issue?

I have also updated to 2019.2, but my build number is still 2019.1.

Hi @Babak-OJB@Kev_D@gbiallas

Waiting for further updates from the team, Please uninstall and reinstall Revit 2019 and then apply the 2019.2 Update directly.

Thanks,

For those of you that are having problems with the installation of the Revit 2019.2 Update, we've identified that this problem occurs on systems that had the Revit 2019.1 Update installed first and the Revit 2019.0.2 Security Fix was applied later.  The Revit 2019.0.2 Security Fix failed to block this unsupported update path, which leaves Revit 2019 in a bad state.

We are investigating better work-arounds but at this time the only known solution is to uninstall and reinstall Revit 2019, and then apply the 2019.2 Update.

Hi Tony,

I followed your recommendation. I uninstalled 2019 revit, and just in case I also cleaned up all registries. After all was don I restarted my PC.

I downloaded revit 2019 again and reinstalled it. After finishing I clicked on the 2019.2 link and reinstalled 2019.2 update. All works well as it did before.

The only problem that I have is for the Site Design plugin to show up in my ribbon bar.

I really need this to work. Has anybody have a solution for this?

Thanks

So this patch will be fixed so it run's correctly, right?

I have no intention to uninstall revit and reinstall revit on all our work PCs.....

We've identified that this problem only occurs on systems that had the Revit 2019.1 Update installed first and the Revit 2019.0.2 Security Fix was applied later.  The Revit 2019.0.2 Security Fix failed to block this unsupported update path, which leaves Revit 2019 in a bad state.  We are investigating possible solutions to place the installed Revit 2019 back to a support state, but at this time the only known solution is to uninstall and reinstall Revit 2019, and then apply the 2019.2 Update directly.

If you do not have the above scenario, then the Revit 2019.2 Update is expected to apply without issue.

Is there an easy way to determine which state our current install is in besides trying to install the 2019.2 to see if it breaks?

If you applied Revit 2019.1 Update the below registry key should have a DisplayVersion value of 19.1.0.112.  If the value is 19.0.20.1, than it is likely that Revit 2019.0.2 Hotfix has been attempted to be applied.
