Hi,
I have a large Revit file that contains 70 different rooms in 140 sheets which should be texted in two different languages. All the text is now in one language. Therefore I need to find the easiest way to group, translate, hide and unhide these text annotations.
The way I figured is to group the selection of annotations in the first language, make a copy of it and call it something else, then hide the first language selection and then translate the other group into the second language. The method works, but I wonder if there is a more efficient way without that many steps when switching back and forth between the two annotation languages?
Is there a way to collect all text groups in a category and switch them all on and off in one step, or do I have to turn them on and off individually?
Thanks!
Welcome to the forum.
One solution to hide all the text of one language in one step, in one view, is this:
Create 2 types of text. Rename your current text as, for example, "Text-A"; duplicate this text type and create, for example, "Text-B".Do your annotations as usual, "Text-A" for one language, and "Text-B" for the other language.
To hide all the text in one language, select one instance of "Text-A" > Select all instances > in view > Hide elements in view.
To unhide all the text in one language, click on the light bulb mode to go to the reveal elements mode. Select one instance, > Select all instances > in view > unhide element.
Thanks Alfredo, that is more or less the option that I've been using ![]()
The question is, if there is a way to hide all text-boxes in one language in the entire model and to unhide the other text-boxes in an easier way.
My first thought was to make two 'language-groups' in the model, but several groups cannot be named the same and it's not possible to group elements in different views, so I guess this isn't possible?
