Annotation symbol with Arrowhead defaulted to 20 degrees filled

I have an annotation family with about ten different types built into it. When I import this into a project, the Arrowhead option (in the Type Properties) of each type is set to 'none'. I do not see anywhere in the family editor to set that value to 20 Degrees Filled.  Is there a way to accomplish this, or must I set the arrowhead values each time I load a tag (which seems absurd and redundant)?

As I know, the Arrowhead is a System Family not an Editable Family (verify this in :Manage > Additional Settings > Arrowheads > Type Properties- you will see the label: System Family:Arrowhead ) and it is attached in Project to Family Objects.

To attach the leader to Tags in a centralized mode:

  • Project Browser > Families > Annotation Symbol - select the tags by type (one by one) > RC on each type >Type Properties > Leader Arrowhead...change to desired arrow....

This property is only available in the project environment.  Instead of just adding the annotation family every time you need it, add it to your template, adjust the leader setting, and it will be ready for you on the next project.

Thats what I was afraid of. Thanks.

Wouldn't it make sense to have a 'project standard arrowhead' that you set in the project properties, then all annotation types take it, unless individually overridden?

Sorry there wasn't a better solution.

I agree that it would make more sense to have it available as a project-wide setting, so I'd suggest submitting it as an idea to the development team.

Perhaps someone from the moderation team can jump in with the link to the feature request page...?

Yes, I totally agree with this idea.

I am currently searching to see if someone has come up with a dynamo script maybe that will do this.
