Annotation Leader - Revit

I am looking for a way to improve workflow for our company in terms of annotation. shown in the image are two wall tags, same family, top tag is free end leader line, bottom is attached leader line. The top tag is company standard and is what we are looking for in drawings.

I need a way to remove the step of adjusting the leader line to go through wall

suggestions thus far:

set tag to free before, (works but does not actually quicken the process much)

copy and paste free end (again works but need to make a new one for each wall in Floorplans)

use dynamo (my dynamo knowledge is not extensive, though I know this may work,  at our firms current level this cost of learning far exceeds the value of this change)

currently I am working through possibly changing an arrowhead type to simply be a line, the only issue is it only will allow it to form backwards on the line towards the tag head

as you can see in this image there is a faint extra thickness close to the wall, this is because the "arrowhead" is present but Revit will not allow a negative number to be inputted for the length of the arrowhead.

I have a decent amount of Revit experience though will always be a student of the program, so any and all input is appreciated.

Cheers,

AJH
