Hi there,
I was wondering if there is a possibility to annotate a IFC element in Revit.
I have imported and integrated ProvisionsForVoid elements into my model, and am looking at possible ways I can annotate them.
Upon Import, the IFC element is a Generic Model element.
Am I thinking completely wrong?

In principle yes you can. IFC are exported with a shared parameters txt file...Create a Multi-Category tag and add the a label for the shared parameter you want to tag annotate.
When you export the IFC make sure that:

Hi@RDAOU
Thankyou for your quick reply.
Well, I understand the workflow for Shared parameters I created in Revit and then want those to be exported to IFC.
I need to schedule those parameters and then in the IFC export settings need to export this schedule as Property Sets. Sure that part I get.
That said, how do I get a annotation family in Revit to report the IFC parameters from an IFC File?
I have a IFC link I would like to annotate in my Revit views.
I mimicked the IFC Parameter as new shared parameters and now I got a doubling of those. I am definitely doing something wrong here.. Check the image below:

The IFC should come with a shared parameters txt file...you do not need to mimic them...you just need to add them to your project/tag
Once you link the IFC into the host model and save it...check the folder under which the IFC was saves ...then use that SP file to add what you need to a multicategory tag

Hello,
But this is exporting for IFC from RVT, or also, with IFC files linked or added in RVT and then exported to IFC?
