Hello,
first I'd like to say I am new to the forum so i hope i placed this topic the right way.
Now to my problem. I posted a pictures of my dimensions and annotation in an angled part of the building and I want it to display the opposite way. Like the text which is nearby.
I couldn't find any solution for this and I hope it is possible somehow. I am using Revit 2019 if that makes any diffence.
I will appreciate any tips for this. Thanks

I am posting a Picture as a pdf somehow didn't appear properly.
So I managed to set dimensions the way I wanted ...Annotate - dimension types - Set Read Convention to Up, then Left (left then up don't have the same effect).
Now I tried almost everything in door tags but couldn't find anything at all. I simply can't understand why would they make text be able to set like not readable and thus rotate it the way I want, but not labels (not readable doesn't work at all)....
HELP !
Vertical/Horizontal not working for you? (using Options Bar or Spacebar)
Thank you for reply, but unfortunately no. I need the tag to rotate with element. I edited family to not rotate with doors and set it to vertical - text is faced the way I want but it looks strange angled to a door axis. (see the Picture i uploaded).
I think there should be a text orientation setting to labels like it is to text and dimensions? Because the only other option I see here is tu manually aplly text to every door which is the exact reason I stopped working with AutoCAD.
It's been a Wish List item forever. Autodesk has done nothing about. Someday maybe.
Hi
in the tags try to find
” rotate with components “
that should help you.
cheers
I uploaded an image above - rotated with compoment, but I want to change text orientation...If it is how " barthbradley" said I have no comments. It is such a basic thing, but so necessary for a sheet to look properly.

Revit was originally created based on the US graphic standards so upside down annotation is considered non-compliant. They may have fixed the text to give flexibility but not labels.
Hi
Check this screencast
secondly if you rotate the label in the tag by 90 degrees. you will get second type of tag which is perpendicular
to the element ( door in this case )
does this solves your issue??
1. Rotate with Element 2. Rotate the Label in the Tags
Just to be clear what I meant...I have tags set to rotate with component. My tags are faced at 95 degrees angle and I want it to display the same way as it is at <90 degrees. (doors are walls are rotated 185 degrees - see my second picture I uploaded).
I am afraid I will have to put actual text instead of tags there and close this topic, but I hope someone can still solve this so I will let this open for few more days.
Thanks.
