Hello people,
i want to create steel plate in Revit that will be shown in the analytical model. I tried with the tool Steal-plates and also fundament, but both are not shown in the analytical model. (Floor tool is excluded).
Can smone help here!! Thanks
Not understanding what you mean by saying floor tool is excluded. Excluded from what? Are you prohibited to not use floor tool? If it is not the case, you can create a steel floor type, draw it and tick Structural and Analytical.
Excluded means should not be used, due to attributes like: category (Floor) and Rebar cover etc... I want to have a real steel element as plate and not as floor. I tried to make it as a project-family with the category Structural Framing, but it is not shown in the analytical model.
I found a workaround. You create a project family >> with Model lines draw the geometry in 2D >> Change the category of those lines to "calculation model" (I use the German version, so please check the right name): like that, you will create an element that could be shown in the analytical model. Notice here that thickness and material should be defined in the program where we will export. Here I use Sofisitk-Analysis.
