Repair.

If this does not work, Reinstall.

This works best

To reinstall or repair Revit:

  1. Click Start menu > Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall/Change.
  2. In the Uninstall or change a program, select the product name, then click Uninstall/Change.
The installation wizard reopens in Maintenance mode.
  1. Select Repair or Reinstall.
  2. On the Repair or Reinstall page, select one of the following options and click Repair or Reinstall to start the process.
  • Repair. This option replaces all registry entries that the product initially installed and restores it to its default state. If you are missing product files, use this option.
  • Reinstall. This option repairs the registry and reinstalls all files from the original installation. Use this option if the Repair option does not solve the problem.
  1. On the Repair/Reinstall Complete page, click Finish.

Hi @Anonymous

I see that you are a new visitor. Welcome to the Autodesk community! Smiley Happy

Please try the recommendation by @David_Knight and let me know if it helps.

Or else, see this article: Revit Error: "An unrecoverable error has occurred ... no need to recreate recovery files."

I look forward to hearing from you.

Try logging out of the Autodesk Desktop App...shut down and restart....login on the Autodesk Desktop App with the username tied to your license then try opening Revit again.

Hi @Anonymous

On parsing your journal, it looks like your user profile may be corrupt and cause Revit to crash.

Can you try the below for me and let me know if this helps resolve your issue?

To reset the user profile:

  1. Open Windows Explorer and browse to the folder with the name of your Revit installation:
Windows 7/8/10: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit

Note:  The AppData folder is a hidden folder. To show hidden folders, you will need to enable 'Show hidden files and folders from Windows Explorer.
To do this in Windows 7, follow the steps in the following article:
Show hidden files
  1. Within this folder you should find a folder named "Autodesk Revit %PRODUCT VERSION%" rename this "Autodesk Revit %PRODUCT VERSION%_Backup"
  2. Start Revit and a new folder should be created.  If a file was corrupted within the folder, Revit may be able to then start with a new initialized user folder

Note: This solution is specific to errors occurring when launching Revit alone (without opening a project). If the steps above do not clear the error, the following article has links to other solutions related to this error:
Revit: Unrecoverable error

I look forward to hearing from you.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question. Likes welcome!
