Hi,
I have downloaded and installed Revit 2016 succesfully on Windows 7 (running on Parallels /Macbook Pro 15" 2015). The program opens fine, but when trying to open any project (or create any new project) the following message pops up: "An unrecoverable error has occured. The program will now be terminated. All of your data has been recently saved, so there is no need to create recovery files." Then Revit closes.
Does anoyone know how to solve this? Thanks in advance, for any help and tips!
Wellcome to the community:)
This can be solved via below
1. Update window 7, if still doesn't work
2. uninstall complete Revit, reinstall it again.
Hope this will solve the issuses.
Hi, thank you for the reply!
I have tried to both reinstall Windows and Revit. Also tried Revit 2015 and Revit 2014, but the same result. Do you think I have to have the newest Windows?
No need to move on with windows 8/10, it should work with windows 7.
Okey, good to know! ![]()
Do you have any other idea of what could cause the problem, and how to solve it?
Hi, I got the exact same problem. The only difference is that I'm running Revit through parallels in windows 10 instead of windows 7. Did you find any solution to this?
I really need this to work. Thanks for any answer
Interesting, I'm receiving the same exact error for my Revit 2016 on Windows 10, however mine occurs only when closing Revit, not opening it. Thoughts?
oh that's weird. At least you have the chance to use the program. What kind of settings do you use?
I've tried to change the resolution and some other settings to make the program run properly, and sometimes Revit runs without this Error showing up, but then Revit flickers and I have to hoover my mouse over some elements to make them appear. Do you experience this?
Anyone get this figured out? I'm running Revit 2017 on Windows 10, networked version and getting the same message, but not until I close Revit. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and get the same error.
