Hello,
I am new here, please forgive me if this has been asked before.
I have a curtain wall on the outside of a standard wall, this is to create a panelled effect. I am trying to find a way to get a window family to cut through both wall types. Thanks, Ryan

Switch the curtainwall panel with a wall
Then host the window with the wall embedded into the curtainwall
For normal side by side walls you would need to join geometry between the neighbouring walls to allow the opening to be automatically cut.
Hosted objects such as a window or door in one wall will cut openings in a second parallel wall when the Join Geometry tool is used between the two wall objects.
Otherwise you would need to manually add wall openings to cut the other 2 walls at the window opening.

Can a curtain wall be joined to a standards wall?
Yes. You can join a basic wall with a curtain panel (also a basic wall type), then place a door or window then it will cut through both.
Yes it can as nicely shown above.
(Apologies for the delay - bed time here)
