Allignament between structural beams with roof and beams at ridge on the roof

Hello,

 

there possibility to allign beams and roof?

 

And manage the two beams at the ridge on the roof that overlap each others?

 

.rvt file is attached.

You will need to draw the beam longer then draw a reference plan and cut with it.

With "split element" doesn't go.

Make sure not to delete the ref plane or you will lose that cut

@MostafaElashmawy  thank's a lot for screencats. I've confused "set work plane" with "reference plane". 

 

But for the ridge on the roof?

I've hidden the fisrt beams and the cut. 

Is the better way?

 

With 3D views can't cut geometry?

You do not need a reference plane at the top the Beams join automatically...

Mirror this beam and see what happens 😛

What @RDAOU  should work for you if the right beam system is exactly similar with the left ones but as they are slightly different, you can use the cut tool to cut both the right and the lift beam by the reference plan.

 

cut>>1st beam>> .ref plan

cut>> 2nd beam>> .ref plan

I undrestand for down side mirroring. Have to mirrow also reference plan with beam system.

Mirror the beams and the ref planes altogether. You can group them and mirror.
