I have attempted to align windows in elevations in Revit 2019.  Only the fixed windows work.  None of the other windows families work.  What can be the issue?

Yeah, I have no like issues either.  Share your file. We'll figure it out.  I'm sure there's an easy explanation.

...one thing you can do is check for Hidden Constraints.  Toggle on the light bulb icon (View Control Bar) to see 'em.

How do I share the file so you can access it?

I am attaching my file.  This is for a class assignment I use.  The windows on the south elevation are casements.  When I attempt to use the align command, it does not work.  If I change the window to a fixed window, the align command works.

I'm having no issue aligning windows in your project.  Can you tell me exactly what you are doing? I'll replicate your steps and see if I get the same results.

When using the align command I first click on the top of the wall then click on the top of the window. Nothing happens with casement, DH, etc. If I use a fixed window, the align command works.

Okay, I see what you are saying. You need to place a Ref. Plane in the Family at the very top edge of the trim and lock it in place with a locked dimension.  Make sure the Ref. Plane is set to something other than "NOT A REFERENCE".  "Weak Reference" is the default. That will do.  Give it a try.

Thanks.  That did it.  Appreciate the help.

continued...now that solves your immediate problem, but may create others. If you were to change the width of the trim, that Ref. Plane will not follow the trim edge.  But, you can parameterize that Ref. Plane to move with the trim edge.  That's another lesson.   Right now, I think you are good to go.
