I was looking at this forum, but it doesn't quite answer my question: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/toposurface-contour-line-issues/m-p/3709130/...
I am having a similar problem but I think it's a different issue. I have the topography and building at the proper elevation. The building first floor level is set to 0' relative elevation, but I moved the project so that that elevation is really at 1087'9 3/8" above sea level. I can verify this by setting my contour label to "Survey Point" and it displays the 1087' 9 3/8". However, as you may notice, the contour line itself is being drawn AT 1087' 9 3/8", not 1087' and 1088' like it should be. Obviously the topography is drawing its 1' contours in relation to the Project Base, not relative to sea level. Any idea how to change this? It know everything is at the right place in the model itself, I just want it to draw the contours on the toposurface relative to the actual topography.
Not really clear on your workflow.
Are you Linking the Building into the Topo, or vise versa -- or are both modeled in the same project?
If the Topo is Linked into, or modeled inside the Building model project, the building shouldn't be moved. Instead the Topo is placed at it's "correct" elevation relative to the Building.
If you're Linking the Building into the Topo, then the Building is moved to its correct orientation/elevation on the site.
Try this..
Keep Survey point at 0-00
make sure its locked...( clip)
and move the survey down 1087'9 3/8.... that will change
any levels at Zero to new 1087'9 3/8...
you dont need to model building at any other level.. keep model at zero..
and levels are showed related to survey levels..so the moment you move
the survey point down 1087'9 3/8, your building will show up 1087'9 3/8..
note , survey point will still show 0'00. which is fine..
