I have made 3 separate walls and I have problems aligning photo texture. In shaded mode it looks fine but in realistic / render mode the texture dont align. The texture have the same scale and when I use the texture aligment tool in the grapichs menu all textures moves sideways when I adjust just one of them.

try using the ALIGN tool on the modify tab. You should be able to tab-select the vertical lines in the pattern.

It looks to me like maybe your pattern isn't a model pattern but is a drafting pattern instead? If the surface pattern is aligned in shaded view and the pattern is a model pattern, then it will always line up in realistic view. Check that and let us know if it works. Good luck!

Hello again.

I have tried everything I can think of, and I have ask many people for help
but no one can help me.

When I set 2 walls of the same type (material, thickness) both the
surfacepattern and photo texture align.Nothing wrong there.* But when I am
using 3 different types of walls (different material and thickness) but
the same exterior finish, only the surface pattern align and not the photo
texture.. WHY??? *
(see pic 1)

When I align the the model pattern, (pic 4) and use the align tool after
and it look all good. (Se pic 2.) But in realistic and render it does not
align. When I adjust the surface pattern, noting happens to the photo
texture... They are not conected.. I can adust and align the sufrace
pattern but it has no affect on the photo texture...

Please try to make 3 different walls types ( different thickness and
material but the same exterior finish) on top of eachother and add a
texture with vertical lines and try to get them to align in realistic or
render. Then you se my problem. I am a student now and I have tryed to
solve this problems on several different pc of my class mates but it is all
the same. So it cant be something wrong with my pc.

I am in desperate need of help. My assingnmet is comming up and I need to
get this texture problem solved.

Depending on the project complexity, it can get really confusing really fast. You can duplicate your walls for 1st and 2nd floor, duplicate the material for 1st and 2nd floor, duplicate the asset, apply to the walls respectively and use texture editor to fine tune the image location in the realistic view (see pic). Not very practical though - not recommended, but it will work

I’d suggest however, using one wall for the entire elevation, but if you have to use separate walls for every level, remove exterior finish layer from your main wall and use separate wall for the exterior material only and apply it for the entire elevation.

I don't have any problems with the settings below:

Hey @ToanDN, after a quick look, it seems like a procedural map works better than an image, which is a pita to align. It is certainly a way of dealing with the problem 🙂

But I still think a separate exterior finish wall is a better way to go 😉

Hello.

I have to use 3 different walls because of the construction of the house.
As you said, I can make a new exterior wall for just the 22 mm wood panel,
that starts at the basement and goes all the way up to the roof, and trim
it with the edit surface tool. Thank you for very much for the help.
