Align a family to a grid line

Hello,

Is it possible to send a family to a grid line? Much like it is possible to set up a new level and then send a family to that level using the Work Plane dropdown list.

I'm trying to selection a bunch of families and align them / lock them all to a grid line in one go.

Thanks!

Use Align tool and tick Multiple and Lock boxes from option bar.

So, you want to relocate a bunch of different families - located at different locations in the project - to a particular intersection of the same x and y Grids?

No. Not possible.

Yh basically a faster way of doing this.
But, it doesn’t sound like it’s possible

Are all the families related somehow? Sounds like they might be if they are all located at the exact same Grid intersection. If so, maybe Sharing and Nesting all the Families together into one Family and placing that "combo" Family in the Project at the x,y Grid intersections would be the smarter approach.

Or, are we talking different Levels.  If so, there is always Clipboard Copy/Paste Aligned to Levels.

That is a smarter approach! - I'll try that.

Thanks!
