I'm in a bit of a pickle here and am hoping someone can clear this matter up for me. I'm a teacher and have been using Autodesk products for 30 years or more. Love the product line, but sadly, the relationship between making software available to teachers and students has changed over the years with Autodesk. Not sure if it's a corporate cultural/attitude shift in general towards managing things or education sites, a marketing thing, or a legal thing, but even the task of finding products on the Education site is difficult. Things have changed over time making obtaining, licensing, and using the products more difficult to do for people like me who love teaching the technology, but rely on the kindness of Autodesk to make that happen as we retrain ourselves for the task.
Right now, I'm trying to find a way to obtain access to the Generative Design functions in Revit. It appears I must subscribe to the AEC Collection, yet I do not see any such offering on the edu website for software downloads. Strangely, I DO see a link to download Revit 2021 Generative Design, and though I've done that and it clearly shows me a statement that I now have access to it, when I attempt to launch it from the Manage tab, I get redirected to a purchase page to subscribe to the AEC collection.
Is there a way out of this morass?
What about Dynamo to run a generative design?
