Hello,
Our structural engineers use Advance Steel, while architects use Revit. Architects need to import models from Advance Steel in order to finalize their documentation. At this design stage, architects will not change the imported models, so those need not to be editable.
What is the best way to import models from Advance Steel?
We tried linking IFC, but the imported geometry turned out different than the one modeled in Advanced Steel.

Did you try the Advance Steel Extension for Revit? https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/revit-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHelp/cloudhelp/2020/EN...
Also, which ifc export did you use? I would have guessed that should have worked. Try the Extension first though.
The Advanced Steel Extension requires a lot of work - matching Revit families with Advanced Steel elements and this is something I'm trying to avoid. Architects just need to position the geometry, they will not edit it...
I tried both IFC exports...

@Ilic.Andrej like @Tom_Kunsman said, the Advance steel extension and mapping the families.
Working with IFCs is often (always) a struggle
