ADSK file noit found

Hi Guys,
I often get models in the form of an ADSK file.
Usually I follow the following routine although it's been a while since I have had to do this:
- Open a Floor Plan
- File - Open - Building Component - select ADSK file - open
- Load into project and drop in location
I don't recall having problems with this before but I'm getting problems now.
When I try the above I get the attached error that the "File not found. Please verify the correct file name was given"

but it is there for sure and the right file extension.
I have tried several different older ADSK files which I have previously not had any problems with so I'm at a loss as to what is now happening.
If I try to open the ADSK file directly into REVIT using Open and I when I select the file I can see in the preview the model so it's there all right.

Hi Paul, without having the file in front of me I can only think of one thing, let's see if we're lucky 😃
It could be a desktop backup and/or a network issue. Have you tried loading the file from the C drive or a subfolder of that versus your desktop?
If that doesn't help I wonder if that file is corrupt or it has been edited in a way the Revit doesn't recognize.

I was working from a desktop file and as soon as I transferred the file to a project folder it worked fine.
