Hi everyone,
I'm trying to set an adjustable family that can adapt to different room sizes, but keeping some elements with a fixed dimension, and I'm stuck with no clue on how to proceed.
So the situation would be the picture below, where I need to keep the cupboard in the top left corner and the wardrobe on the right bottom corner (both on the extremes) with their dimensions fixed, and I'd like to have the desk table (on L shape, marked in yellow) adjustable in the direction of the orange arrows, without modifying the cupboard and the wardrobe size, but it would modify their location.
The red point would remain in the same place and it would be just the origin for the whole family.
So the idea would be having the 2 options below (and more options) set in one family.
I hope someone can help, and I'm sure will be useful for more users.
Thanks in advance!

Sounds like you want a family that operates similar to the way the OOTB Counter Top w Sink Hole.rfa operates when loaded into the Project (e.g. sink can be dynamically moved by dragging shape handles in the Project). See attached.
...if so, this is done by pulling labeled dimensions between Ref. Planes or Ref. Lines, and aligning and locking the geometry to the Ref. Planes or Ref. Lines. If the dimensions are labeled with Instance Parameters, then the Family will have Shape Handles in the Project that you can drag.
Hey barthbradley, thanks for the answer. Seems that your file is on the latest Revit version?
I'm still with 2018, if you could save it in a previous version would be great!

Dang! I just built an example for you in 2019. Give me minute.
Family in Project (see attached).
Note: Best to TAB-Select those Shape Handles that are in close proximity to each other. Otherwise you'll will get an error.
