I have to adjust the feet of a handrail to a witdth of a step. My problem is that my step can not divided in whole numbers so I can not place a digit in the properties window. Is there a way to adjust the feet of a handrail to a non whole number distance?

select your railing, click edit type in properties and then click the circled [...] button as shown.
Thank for all your help, now I am almost done but I have 2 more questions. My handrail need a plate embedded in the floor, like in the attached sketch. How can I make it?
Also at the end the staircase has a horizontal flight, how can I create this horizontal flight. See also attached sketch.
That is a little bit trickier to accomplish but you can do it by editing your baluster family and adding a foot that extends to the left and add a dimension parameter to its length so it can be adjusted. The have it extend the length of the gap between balusters. It won't be a continuous plate at the bottom but every baluster will have a foot on it so it will appear continuous.

- Model the railing using Curtain Wall and Edit Profile
- Model the plate as baluster of a separate railing

Add a top landing by sketch.
I have one more question, is it possible to create a horizontal handrail and then edit the end feet height so I can have an slanted top railing like in the attached sketch.
Also is it possible to remove the first rise of the stair?
Check the attached sketch.
Is it possible to remove the first riser.

I dont find that option in my menu. Sorry it is in German.
Am I in the right chart?
You need to select the Stairs that are the Bottom Rail and press Edit Stairs - and then select the Stair again to reveal "Begin with Riser" checkbox under the Properties.
