Hi all, I've been tasked at work to come up with a more efficient way to use keynotes.Currently we have all of our NBS spec and information contained in the keynotes text file. I've come up with a way to use the keynotes to annotate detailed drawings such as components and materials by going into the type properties of that element/component/detail item and putting in text that can be displayed instead of typing the same thing if there is more than one of the same item. So my question is.. is there a way I could combine the information within the keynote file with the additional text show it displays both? I've tried to explain as clear as I can but the whole aim is to try and figure out a more efficient way to note details.
You can use both: the information in the .txt file and the information in the keynote parameter of the family. For the information in the .txt file, you use Keynote > User Keynote. For the other one you use Keynote > Element Keynote. if you need to show both at the same time, use the tool twice, one for each type of keynote.
There is also another option that reads the Description parameter of a material, which is Keynote > Material Keynote.
