Adding Stucco to a building exterior

I am building a model of an existing residence (screenshot attached), and I'm wondering if there's a way to add the exterior Stucco at this point.

I've tried editing the Wall Type, but naturally the stucco doesn't extend over the structural columns and beam surfaces.

I appreciate the guidance!

At what "point"? Can you elaborate please?

Meaning at this point in the model building process. I don’t see many Revit models that are built with structure...most of them are just walls that have the finishes applied.

Revit is new to me, so I’m trying to learn the best practices as I learn the software.

Thanks

If you have the structure already you could just add a wall type for exterior only and add that to the model...

Thank you...that seems very practical.

Can you create a wall type that wraps over the top and bottom of structural members (I.e. the parapet walls, and undersides of beams)?

Not a wall, but a floor will work for soffits and the like.  Then you can join the wall the floor (soffit) to remove the visible edges between them.

@Anonymous you could also model some geometry in place, assign the same material as in the wall type and then join that with the before mentioned walls. You can use floors although category-wise I might prefer doing it like this, but it depends on what you need to model ofcourse.

Thanks @martijn_pater .  Glad to know there are a couple of different ways to do this.
