Adding spot coordinates to asset families

Hi,

I had built a sample architectural revit model with some assets like fire hydrant, camera, air conditioner, Lift call button.

I need to extract spot coordinates of this assets in a list of tables say excel. i.e. i dont want to manually put all spot coordinates and extract manually.

Since this is a sample model manually could be done but actual model contains more than 1000 assets.

Please can anyone help me or any idea how it could be done.

You can do this with Dynamo using FamilyInstance.Location node.

Hi barthbradley,

Thank you so much for your response and suggestion. That worked fine. I actually from http://dynamobim.org/forums/topic/familyinstance-location-node/ for FamilyInstance Location.

and i made a network like this below you can see:

The coordinates did matched (. I want to report it in excel, what additional steps I need to do. I'm not so expert in dynamo, just tried the steps what was written.

Secondly, some warning came above python script. Do i need to correct it?
