Hello,

I'm tryin to find out how to add custom Places to a Revit 2021 deployment. I've exhausted several hours pouring over ini file recourses and many a failed google searches. I found some suggestions about editing Windows Registry Keys, but that doesn't seem to be a practical solution for our needs.

We have a deployment for Revit 2019 that currently will do this, but it was set up by my predecessor, so we're unsure of how he accomplished this.

you can add additional Places - to search for from other Libraries...for example I add my custom library of Editable Families..

  • click on + to add custom libraries and then 3 points icon to set the path to the folder where the library is hosted

name the library :

and when opening Families, for instance you will find your custom Place into the List (into Look in):

Yes, I've had no trouble adding these Places to Revit. My trouble is that I can not get them to save to the local user's ini file or add these locations to a Deployment
