Hi there
I would like to add profiles to floor panels such as bottom plates as shown in attached image. Not sure the best way of doing this
Thanks in advance
Tony

Model it the same way it will be constructed in the real world. What is that element in the real world? Beam? Thickened Edge?
...maybe the Slab Edge Tool could be employed here.

Do you mean Curtain Wall Panels?
In the real world it would be a 2x4 or 2x6 plate. I guess a slab edge would work but I have no luck in creating slab edges. Anyone have a good example that applies here

Why incorporate this into the floor as a "slab edge"? Why not beams for this? Seems you'd have a better BIM Model that way.
...are these plates constructed separately from the floor or are they embedded into the floors?
Slab edge is a good solution however how would you have it as part of the floor instead of always having to add it after
How would you add beams as part of the floor?
These plates are added before the floor gets installed but it might as well be part of the whole assembly since they happen almost at the same time

Well, it's your planning, but if it were me, I'd keep the plates as separate elements. Think phases of construction and disciplines.

Do you have any specs you could share with us about the construction? Maybe photos?
The construction is basically wood floor joists with a 2x4 on flat around the edge. I think my original image somewhat explained it
Long story but site some times prefer the double plates to hide the anchor bolts and on rare occasion some clients prefer the 3 plates

It's what your sill plate is anchored to. Google it.
