A team member is attempting to add a louvered window to a concrete wall from the linked structural model. Possible? If so, how?
I did advise him to Copy/Monitor the wall. The window does not recognize the Copy as a wall. Just give you an idea of how my cup of joy overfloweth.

Tell the structural engineer to add an opening in the wall in their file. Then you or your attempting team member can add a non-host window in the opening when you reload the link.
I did read that in an old thread. Looks like what is old does not change - I had hoped for something better! Thank you @ToanDN!
I appreciate the desire, but consider...
It is a bad idea to modify a structural element if you aren't the structural engineer. The proper workflow IS to provide that engineer with all of your opening requirements and allow him to create his structural file appropriately. If you have changes that effect the structural file afterwards, they also need to go through him.
Thank you @chrisplyler and @ToanDN. I stand informed and have informed the team member accordingly.
