Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to add some crown molding and base to my rooms but for whatever reason the Revit families I'm trying to use wont load through the standard Architecture > Component > Load Family path. Which tells me I'm attempting to load it in the wrong place, but unsure of what the right path would be.
Ideally I'd like to use it as a wall sweep but not sure if this family can be used as a wall sweep profile.

That's what I thought (that they couldn't be used as profiles).
Whats the proper way to get them loaded into the project though? I'd rather use them, even as a component than take the time to model a whole new wall sweep.
These families are meant for detailing. You need to use the Profile families.

Those are Detail families, not profile families. You cannot use them to create Wall Sweeps, they are for detail/drafting views.
To create Wall sweeps:
- create a new family using Profile template
- draw the profile as a closed loop
- set the profile usage to Wall Sweep
- load in project
- edit a Wall sweep type, duplicate, and change the profile to the one you just loaded in
You're a saint!
Thank you.
