I have a sliding door family and need to incorporate it into the curtain wall. But I noticed I could not choose this door to replace the curtain panel since the family is a door family and not a curtain wall family, how can I change it to curtain wall family ?

It would have to be re-built using the correct template...or you can swap out the panel for a generic basic wall type and then put the wall hosted sliding door into that wall. It's a little tricky to fine tune to look correct but less time consuming than building a new door family...unless you're already good at that task.

Replace the Panel with a Basic Wall Type and then place your Door Family on this Basic Wall Typr/Curtain Wall Panel. Or just create another CW Solid Panel Type with an offset and replace the existing Panel with the one with the offset. Get it?
It depends.
A regular door normally come with frame so you will need to turn it off if you want to replace the panel with a basic wall and place the door in the wall.
For the long run, I would create or find a curtain wall sliding door family.
You could just go to BIMObject and download one from a manufacturer.
....here's one from NABCO I just downloaded from BIMObject, There are many, many others.
You should be able to replace the panel with wall and then host the sliding door on curtainwall panel wall. If you don't want that, then use the Curtainwall family.

Thank you for sharing with me the curtainwall sliding door family! It works.
