Adaptive nested family behaviour...

Hello,

please see attached adaptive family.

The family has a nested adaptive family in it, called "triangle".

There are two instances of the triangle, and they both flex according to the distance between two adaptive points.

The green triangle flexes the way I need it to flex (its top follows the plane driven by the "H" parameter), the red triangle does not. See screen shot.

My questions is:

How do I make the red triangle flex the same way as the green triangle?  I made it to work with the green triangle, but I do not remember the exact steps that resulted in this behavior.

Also, I understand there might be better ways to do this, but what I want to understand is how to reverse-engineer this working condition (the green triangle flexing).

I spend a lot of time working on Revit families because Revit behavior appears to be not predictable.

Thank you

regards

Not clear on what you are asking. Are you wanting a second triangle to mimic the shape/dimensions of the first triangle? Maybe control the offset distance between the two?

...you're not by any chance trying to do what HyunWoo Kim is showing in this video?
