When placing a component on top of a slab that is on let's say level 3, before putting it I will see that I place it on level 3. Okey Revit makes it look like it is on level 3 and everything is fine, however, I can not verify it until I export and IFC out of it. After this, it displays it on level 3 but the information says level 1.
And also one other thing. If i place my component again on level 3, and copy the object with select to align levels, it copies it upwards because it thinks that the object is on Level 1 but it is actually on level 3? Is this a bug in Revit 2021 or what?
What to do?
Attached is my test project and my adaptive component.
What you always can do is to add an IfcSpatialContainer parameter to your adaptive family and fill in the right level.
If desired you can automate filling in of the level with Dynamo.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
Yes, I know about that, but it is not a good solution to tell the customer to write it to each and every object that they use. I can not understand why a simple thing like this is not working.
The only solution that I find is working kind of is to model the first object to level 1 and then copy it upwards and edit the object then... but that is also a really bad solution.
The thing that i can not understand is that my points are placed at the correct level, but the family properties are on the first level in the model. I think this is some sort of revit bug.
So inserted points are corresponding to correct host level. But when the family is generated in the project it defaults to level 1.
Edit. After some digging around looks like the levels are read-only in the adaptive component family. Could this be changed in the future of revit realses?
Check the IDEAS section if something similar is already written or if not already create a new one.
Another option might be to go to the IFC addin site and see if they can do something with the addin.
Third option might be to create a support ticket in your account

They actually already belong to Level 1 in Revit. The issue is how to assign them to different Levels. Pick new host method doesn't work.
Yes i know, and the only way to assign them to other levels is to copy them and align them to different levels. So what I would like to do is to have a constraint or parameter whit the levels so that you can select them to go to different levels.
