Adaptive Component in 2D

Hey

I have a basic Detail Item that I load in for Voids, Openings, etc. etc. This is great for regular square areas as it can be stretched.

However, how could I make this to stretch in more irregular shapes by stretching each corner?

As you already said: Use Adaptive Points Family...as shown in my screencast:

Create it as an adaptive generic family and load/place it directly in project (you won't be able to nest it in other non-adaptive families).

Thank you both. Although I was aware of this ability, the problem is that this would be visible in the model as it is a modeled element. My aim was to create it as a Detail Item so it is only view specific. I should have explained this in the OP.

Hi @Kev_D. Do you need something like this? I added a family (R2019) to the attachment.

You could also use filters/vg settings which are view specific.

@PavelAnd Perfect. That is exactly what I am looking for. I appreciate you sharing. I will look at reverse engineering it to see how you made it, and maybe add some visibility controls to turn on/off the perimeter lines.

@martijn_pater Yes I am aware of that process, but I wanted to aoid having to use other tools/settings for it.
