Hi guys !
Could someone please help me out of this confusion ?
I have a 2-point adaptive component of a glass panel and a top rail.
I have inserted this into my project following the steps below :
1. place reference planes
2. create in-place mass , draw reference lines on the said reference planes
3. divided path of the reference lines
4. placed adaptive component on nodes
Problem :
The adaptive component works only on one of the divided paths, out of 6 created.
On the other divided paths the top rail of the component is distorted.
I´ve attached a screenshot.
I have tried to use the adaptive component on other inclined surfaces (supports of the stairs)
and it works perfectly.
Where could I be going wrong?
Thanks

Try the modified family attached.
You need to add a reference point somewhere along the top reference line and use its cross plane to draw the profile of the rail. Do not use one of the end points of the reference line.
OMG ! thank you so much !!
man ! you have literally made my day ... and week !
much love ! ![]()
could I ask you one last thing, mate ?
how can I make the joints of the top rails seamless ?
how I have them now is a bit ... unrealistic.
Perhaps make a different adaptive family with 3 sides (4 adaptive points).
Also, I think you can use system railing for this instead of adaptive family. It is not that complicated.
